Handled Wrong

She said I don’t know
You said but I do
Things got weird
And now she wants nothing to do with you

You said it’s her fault
And she said it was yours
Too stubborn to break
So you accept the disagreement
Taking on the task of rebuilding from the floors

As you began to ask the question
Did you handle that right
The question became the answer
The doubt leads to a no
Nothing to be said now so you just go

Months go by and the two of you revisit
Realizing things can’t be the same
Everything is forever twisted
I’m sure she hates me
And I stopped trying to fix it
